The field of New Age, ambient and
relaxation music is where Pete has really developed himself
as a composer, arranger and producer. Demonstrating that he
has transcended the lightning-fast violin virtuoso
stereotype, Pete's work in ambient music has showcased his
ear for textures, moods and subtle soundscapes, and his
skill in overall production and arrangement.
His 1992 release “Dreams” was a particularly satisfying
album for Pete, as it was his first full-length record in
the genre, and met with considerable commercial success.
This has inspired Pete to continue his exploration of more
experimental and unconventional music, whilst his solid
background in more mainstream musical genres has enabled him
to keep the strong melodies and listenability that so many
ambient and New Age recordings lack.
