Jazz has always been Pete's first musical love, and it was as a fast, furious, improvisational Jazz Fusion violinist that Pete first got noticed in the early 1980's. Pete was to be found in every smoky jazz bar in Soho, wowing crowds with his passion and incredible musical literacy. This was to lead to a stint in legendary jazz fusion ensemble Barbara Thompson's Paraphenalia, including 4 European tours and massive festival performances.
Pete also has a long-held love of the gypsy jazz style,
inspired by the likes of Django Rheinhardt, Stephane
Grapelli and Yehudi Menhuin. Pete has recorded and performed
dozens of standards in this style as well as creating
sparkling original compositions of his own.
Pete's repertoire also includes swing, bossa nova and bebop
jazz styles, and with a 30-year record of recording,
composition and performance Pete can truly be said to be a
master of the Jazz art form.
