Pete has
always been at the heart of the Midlands' vibrant folk music
scene. As is befitting the region right in the centre of the
British Isles and his own part-Irish roots, Pete's folk
influences include a mix of traditional English, Scottish
and Irish styles. As with his classical tastes, Pete
particularly enjoys listening to and playing slower,
romantic ballads with powerful yet subtle melodies.
Pete also loves to throw himself into the upbeat
Mediterranean styles of folk music from the Italian, Greek
and Jewish traditions, and, as a prolific wedding musician,
he has an extensive recorded and performance repertoire in
these styles – just the thing to make your party go with a
swing!
