Classical
music was always at the heart of Pete's musical education,
and despite his many forays into other styles and genres, it
is still the music he returns to again and again. Pete finds
the kind of timeless, unforgettable melodies created by the
likes of Faure, Bach and Holst, with a particular love of
the classical, baroque and romantic periods.
As a recording artist, Pete has recorded many albums of
classical material, both covering the great classical
standards of the past 500 years and composing his own
material, particularly in the slower romantic style. He has
also released, along with trumpeter John Barker and producer
Chris King, an album of instrumental Christian worship
music. Pete is equally skilled in authentic recreation of
traditional arrangements or more modern re-interpretations
incorporating his electric violins and other, more modern
instruments.
As a performing and function musician, his genuine love and
passion for the slower romantic ballad, and his ability to
express that passion with skill and emotion, has given many
brides and grooms wonderful memories of their special day.
